President - Southern Division
Hector Padilla is president of the Southern Division of The Home Depot. He is responsible for the sales and operations of more than 690 stores, leading a team of more than 100,000 associates in 15 U.S. states, Puerto Rico and St. Thomas.
Hector’s Home Depot career began in 1994 as an hourly store associate in Hialeah, Fla. working in our building materials and millwork departments. After 20 years and various roles within the company, Hector brings historical knowledge and a deep understanding of the company’s culture, values and commitment to customer service. He grew his career through numerous leadership positions including department supervisor, assistant store manager, store manager, district manager, field install manager, senior director and general manager of install and divisional director of field services. His rich store experience led to a position as regional vice president and responsible for the operations of 79 stores in South Florida, Puerto Rico and the U.S. Virgin Islands.
Most recently, Hector served as senior vice president – store operations for the company. In that role, he led the daily execution of initiatives to simplify store operations and drive productivity across the company’s 2,200 stores.
Hector earned an executive MBA from the University of Miami.
