Shannon Gerber

Executive Director, The Home Depot Foundation 

The Home Depot Foundation Board Member

As executive director of The Home Depot Foundation, Shannon Gerber leads The Home Depot’s philanthropic strategy, volunteer efforts and employee assistance program.

Shannon joined The Home Depot in 2002 and, prior to joining The Home Depot Foundation, she spent 13 years with The Home Depot in corporate communications. Most recently, she served as the senior director of events management, where she led large-scale events for the company, as well as The Home Depot Foundation’s fundraising events. In this role, Shannon’s team led the fundraising strategy and helped raise millions of dollars to further the Foundation’s work.

Previously, Shannon worked with The Ritz-Carlton Hotel Company in positions of increasing responsibility in events management.

Shannon has served on the advisory board of Make-A-Wish Georgia and is an active volunteer through Team Depot, Atlanta Community Food Bank, Safehouse Outreach, Atlanta Furniture Bank and other organizations. Shannon has a bachelor of science in business management from University of Phoenix.

Giles Bowman

Senior Vice President, Merchandising

Chairman of The Home Depot Foundation Board

As senior vice president of merchandising for The Home Depot, Giles Bowman manages the following categories: Lumber, Building Materials, Plumbing, Electrical/ Lighting, and Millwork.

Prior to his current assignment, Giles was senior vice president of merchandising responsible for Lawn and Garden, Seasonal Living, Outdoor Power Equipment, Hardware, and Power Tools. He previously held several positions of increasing responsibility, including merchandising vice president of building materials, merchandising vice president of the Eastern Division, merchandising vice president of Canada, vice president of sales and service for the Southwest Division, divisional merchandise manager of the Southwest Division, and millwork merchant for the Southwest Division.

Prior to joining The Home Depot in 1996, Giles held various merchandising positions in Lumber, Millwork and Hardware with Lowe’s Companies.

Giles has a proven executive management record of accomplishment and over 32 years of experience driving sales and growth in the home improvement industry.

Giles has served on the board of directors for The Home Depot Foundation since 2008, and assumed the position of Chairman of the Board in late 2014. He also served on the board of directors for NW Metro Atlanta Habitat for Humanity from 2007-2013.

He earned a bachelor’s degree in mathematics from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.

Marc Becker

Vice President, Merchandising

Marc Becker is vice president of merchandising for The Home Depot. He is responsible for the company’s Millwork department, which includes molding, windows, interior doors, exterior doors, patio doors, garage doors and related products.

Marc joined the company in 1999 as a credit analyst. He has held positions of increasing responsibility including assistant store manager, inventory merchant, manager supply chain, merchant, senior merchant, divisional merchandise manager for Outdoor Power and most recently field merchandising vice president for the Western Division. Marc has a bachelor’s degree in accounting from Georgia Southern University.

Scott Bomar

Senior Vice President, Home Services

Scott Bomar oversees The Home Depot's Home Services business, including installation operations, in-home sales, customer contact centers, as well as contractor sourcing, onboarding and compliance.

Scott joined the Company in 2005 as manager of Strategic Business Development. He has held roles of increasing responsibility, becoming a vice president of finance in 2013. Most recently, Scott served as vice president of Credit & Payments and Treasurer. Scott also ran the company’s retail operations in China.

Prior to joining The Home Depot, Scott held positions with Deloitte and SEI Investments.

Scott has a master’s in business administration from Duke University and a bachelor’s in industrial engineering from the Georgia Institute of Technology.

Marc Brown

Senior Vice President, Store Operations

Marc Brown is senior vice president of store operations for The Home Depot. He oversees the daily execution of initiatives to simplify store operations and drive productivity.

Marc joined the company in 1998 and has deep experience in equipping our associates and stores to serve customers. He began his career as a human resources manager and relied on that commitment to associates as he moved into a number of positions throughout the company, including store manager, field install manager, district manager, director of core retail, regional pro sales manager, divisional pro/tool rental director, senior director of pro sales and regional vice president.

Prior to joining the company, Marc spent eight years in retail with Wal-Mart Stores, Inc. and Blockbuster Video, both in field and corporate support positions.

Marc has a bachelor’s degree in administrative management from the University of Arkansas.

Pete Capel

Vice President, Field Merchandising

The Home Depot Foundation Board Member 

Pete Capel is Vice President of Field Merchandising for The Home Depot. He is responsible for the northern, southern and western divisions.

Pete joined the company in 1990 as a sales associate. He has held roles of increasing responsibility including assistant store manager, store manager, district manager, regional install manager, regional merchandise manager, divisional sales merchant and field merchandising vice president for the northern division.

Most recently, he was vice president for in-store environment. Prior to joining the Company, Pete served for seven years in the United States Marine Corps.

Lisa Destefano

Vice President, Brand Marketing and Creative

The Home Depot Foundation Board Member

Lisa DeStefano is vice president of brand marketing and creative for The Home Depot. She is responsible for driving the brand strategy, messaging and marketing, focused on building strong customer relationships and high engagement. Lisa is also responsible for The Home Depot’s brand voice and standards and the interconnected creative design and execution for the enterprise across all channels, including Brand Marketing, Merchandise Marketing, Pro, Services and The Home Depot Design Center.

Lisa has a passion for building and driving value for private brands that started early in her career in special store retail and during her time as a product development merchant. She has responsibility for managing and marketing The Home Depot’s private brand portfolio, as well as the private brand packaging practice.

Prior to joining the company in 2013, Lisa was vice president of strategic marketing for J.C. Penney. Lisa has a combined 28 years of extensive merchandising and marketing experience which includes various merchant product development and private brand and marketing roles with retailers American Eagle Outfitters and Limited Brands.

Lisa has bachelor’s degrees in merchandising and business administration from The Ohio State University.

Chris Duffy

Vice President, In-Store Environment

Chris Duffy is vice president of in-store environment. He is responsible for Visual, Off-shelf & Promotional / Event Merchandising, Space Planning & Optimization, Reset Planning, Merchandising Capital Projects, Digital Store Environment and Strategic Store Investment.

Since joining Home Depot in 2000 as a sales associate, Chris has held several positions of increasing responsibility including store manager, district manager, director of operations process, vice president of workforce operations & strategy, building services and energy management, vice president of interconnected retail for homedepot.com and, most recently, vice president of in store environment.

Chris has a bachelor’s degree from Fairfield University and received his master's degree from Duke University.

John Ellington

Director, Finance and Grants Administration, The Home Depot Foundation

The Home Depot Foundation Board Member 

John Ellington is the Director of Finance and Grants Administration for The Home Depot Foundation.  He is responsible for establishing and managing the collaborative strategies to implement the Foundation’s focus – working to improve the homes and lives of U.S. military veterans and their families.

John joined The Home Depot in 2005 in the Assurance and Advisory Management Program, a two year program designed to develop the future leaders of the company.  Since that time, John has held roles of increasing responsibility across the company’s corporate finance landscape in the functional areas of Financial Planning & Analysis, Store Operations, Merchandising Services and Online Merchandising.

Prior to joining The Home Depot, John spent four years at Ernst & Young in a variety of roles within their Atlanta office.

A native of the Acadiana region of southern Louisiana, John graduated magna cum laude with a B.S. in Accounting and minor in Economics from Oglethorpe University in Atlanta, GA.  He proudly serves in The Foundation in honor of his late father, a veteran of the Vietnam War.

Daniel Grider

Vice President, Technology

The Home Depot Foundation Board Member 

Daniel Grider is vice president of information technology at The Home Depot. He is responsible for the IT infrastructure, engineering and operations, and accountable for the company’s strategic technology footprint that supports more than 400,000 associates and 2,200 stores. This includes virtualization, network engineering, database, storage, platform, open systems, mainframe, software deployment, data centers and operational command centers.

Daniel joined The Home Depot in 2009 and has more than 22 years of retail information technology experience. He has held various roles of influence throughout his career, with emphasis on development, operational excellence and infrastructure effectiveness. Most recently, Daniel implemented strategic plans to significantly improve self-service infrastructure, overall operational controls, including root cause analysis, response time, productivity and system availability.

Prior to joining The Home Depot, Daniel was senior director for eBay’s Global Operations team, and spent several years with Walmart Stores leading the IT security and business continuity divisions. In addition, Daniel worked nine years as a certified law enforcement officer in the state of Arkansas.

Crystal Hanlon

Northern Division President

The Home Depot Foundation Board Member 

Crystal Hanlon is president of the Northern Division of The Home Depot. Crystal is responsible for the sales and operations of 795 stores in 24 Midwest and Northeastern states with a team of more than 110,000 associates.

Most recently, Crystal served as regional vice present for the Gulf Region, overseeing 128 stores in Texas, Louisiana and Mississippi and leading a team of 18,000 associates.

Crystal began her career at the Company in 1985 as a cashier in Texas while attending the University of Houston. During the last 30 years. she has held numerous positions, including customer services manager, assistant store manager, store manager, district manager, senior director of operations, merchandising vice president of décor, regional vice president.

Crystal studied business management at the University of Houston and the University of Phoenix.

Steve Holmes

Vice President, Corporate Communications & External Affairs

Steve Holmes is vice president of Corporate Communications & External Affairs at The Home Depot. He and his team are responsible for reputation management; product, innovation and sustainability communications, field and associate communications; executive communications; digital and broadcast communication channels; crisis communications; branded merchandise and events management, The Home Depot Foundation and The Homer Fund.

During his 12 years with the company, Steve has led media relations and communications for Home Services, stores, finance and corporate functions such as technology, supply chain and human resources. In addition, he led the relaunch of the company’s corporate web site, Built from Scratch. Steve is a 20-year communications veteran whose background also includes agency, politics and public policy. Prior to joining The Home Depot, He was a member of the UPS public relations team for nearly nine years.

Jeanine Huebner

Senior Vice President, Interconnected Merchandising

Jeanine Huebner is senior vice president of Interconnected Merchandising for The Home Depot. She is responsible for merchandising and marketing strategies for homedepot.com, as well as the company’s home furnishings brands including StyleWell, Home Decorators Collection, The Company Store and Blinds.com businesses.

Jeanine joined the company in 1999 as a merchant. She has held roles of increasing responsibility, including director of product marketing, director of marketing planning, global product merchant, divisional merchandise manager and vice president of merchandising over décor and storage. Prior to her role as senior vice president of hardlines, Jeanine was vice president of merchandising over inside garden.

Before joining the company, Jeanine spent 16 years in marketing and sales with Black & Decker. Jeanine has a bachelor’s degree in business and economics from Mount St. Mary’s University and a master’s degree in marketing from Loyola University Maryland.

Stacy Ingram

 Associate General Counsel and Deputy Corporate Secretary

Stacy Ingram serves as Associate General Counsel and Deputy Corporate Secretary for The Home Depot, which she joined in April 2009. She is responsible for a broad range of securities, compliance, corporate governance and corporate finance matters.

Prior to joining The Home Depot, Ms. Ingram was a partner in the Atlanta office of McKenna Long & Aldridge LLP, where she represented clients in a full array of securities, corporate governance and corporate finance matters. She currently serves as a member of the board of directors of the Society for Corporate Governance and chair of its Policy Advisory Committee, and has served as President of the Society’s Southeastern Chapter. Ms. Ingram also serves on the board of The Home Depot Foundation and The Homer Fund.

Ms. Ingram received her law degree from Harvard Law School and a B.A. from the University of Texas at Austin.

Erin Izen

Director, Workforce Development and Military Relations

The Home Depot Foundation Board Member

Erin Izen is the director of Workforce Development and Military Relations at The Home Depot.  She is responsible for building a comprehensive workforce development strategy, initially focused on pairing skilled trades graduates, many of whom are former servicemembers, with meaningful employment through our stores and Pros.  This role is also responsible for a national military relations program, ensuring The Home Depot is an employer of choice for current and former military servicemembers and spouses.  Prior to this position, she spent 15 years at the company in varied strategic planning, execution, and operational roles in the business, such as Strategic Business Development, Store Operations, and THD Rental.

Before joining The Home Depot, Erin worked at Radiant Systems in Alpharetta, Georgia. She holds a Bachelor of Science in industrial engineering from The Georgia Institute of Technology and is a Six Sigma Master Black Belt.

Erin is active in her church and several nonprofits that support the armed forces, veterans, and homelessness.She is married to LtCol Jim Izen, USMC (retired) and mother to four (the oldest is also a US Marine).

Heather Kennedy

Vice President, Government Relations

Heather Kennedy is the vice president of government relations at The Home Depot, the world’s largest home improvement retailer. Heather has served in a variety of positions of increasing responsibility at the company. She currently has responsibility for international government relations, federal lobbying and political activity in the Washington, D.C. office as well as state and local government relations.

Prior to The Home Depot, Heather was a legislative director at public affairs firms in Florida and Georgia, working in both state legislatures. Heather graduated summa cum laude from Florida State University with a BA in Business Management. She is a graduate of the Women in Power program at the Harvard Kennedy School of Government as well as the Public Affairs Council’s Public Affairs Institute.

Heather serves on the Board of Directors of the Home Depot Foundation, The First Tee of Greater Washington, and the Ford’s Theatre Corporate Advisory Board. She Chairs the Georgia Retail Association and serves on the US Chamber of Commerce’s Public Affairs Committee, and the Congressional Hispanic Leadership Institute’s Advisory Council.

She lives in Arlington, Virginia with her husband Jacob and two daughters, and enjoys coaching little league and playing golf.

Adolfo Villagomez

Senior Vice President, Online and Chief Marketing Officer

Adolfo Villagomez is senior vice president of The Home Depot’s online business as well as the company’s Chief Marketing Officer. He is responsible for all digital activities including Homedepot.com, an industry leading eCommerce operation that achieved almost $8 billion in sales in 2018. He is also responsible for all marketing and branding activities at The Home Depot.

Adolfo joined The Home Depot in 2014 as vice president of merchandising strategy. Since that time, he has led several of the company’s core merchandising functions, including Outdoor Power, Garden and Building Materials. His efforts resulted in the successful expansion of exclusive brand relationships, the growth of private brand offerings and the revitalization of the Pro program.

Previously, Adolfo worked as a partner at McKinsey & Company and held executive leadership positions at DuPont.

Adolfo holds a master’s degree in business administration from the Yale School of Management, and a bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering from the Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México (National Autonomous University of Mexico)

Charles Wilson

Regional Vice President

Charles Wilson is a regional vice president for The Home Depot. He is responsible for the operations of 110 stores in Florida, Alabama, southern Georgia and southern South Carolina.

Charles joined the company in 2003 as an assistant store manager. He has held progressively responsible roles, including store manager, district operations manager, director of strategic development and district manager.

Charles holds a Master of Business Administration in strategy and finance from the University of Pennsylvania and a bachelor’s degree in accounting from Hampton University.

Chuyu Xi

Vice President, Merchandising

Chuyu Xi is vice president of merchandising for The Home Depot. Chuyu is responsible for the company’s Flooring department which includes carpet, rugs, wood floor, laminate floor, vinyl floor, tile and tile set materials. Chuyu joined the company in 2006 as a director in our Installation Services business. He has held positions of increasing responsibility, including senior director and vice president of services operations overseeing maintenance of a national network of service providers, customer issue resolution and the Regulatory Compliance function. Chuyu also led Home Depot’s Renovation Services business, providing B2B turnkey installation solution to large institutional clients.

Prior to joining the Home Depot in 2006, Chuyu spent 10 years of his career with General Electric, primarily in its Power Systems & Energy division. During his tenure with GE, Chuyu held various operational leadership roles in global sourcing, supply chain risk management, quality and customer service. Chuyu is a certified Six Sigma Master Black Belt.

Chuyu graduated from the University of Maine at Fort Kent, and later obtained his MBA and master's in industrial & management engineering from the Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute in Troy, New York.

Sherry Yaskin

Vice President, Human Resources

Sherry Yaskin is vice president of human resources, U.S. stores and operations, for The Home Depot. She is responsible for all human resources functions for the Company's 2,192 stores in the United States, Guam, Puerto Rico and the U.S. Virgin Islands.

Sherry joined The Home Depot in 2004 as director of learning and has held positions of increasing responsibility, including director of talent management and organizational effectiveness, senior director of human resources for both the western and northern divisions, senior director of human resources for U.S. operations and the pro business and, most recently, vice president of talent management and organizational effectiveness.

Prior to joining the company, Sherry was a district manager with Circuit City. She also spent more than 14 years with Gap, Inc., where she held a variety of leadership positions.

Sherry holds a bachelor's in speech communication from the University of Florida.

Ann-Marie Campbell

Executive Vice President, U.S. Stores

Ann-Marie Campbell began her career with The Home Depot in 1985 as a cashier in South Florida and today is executive vice president, U.S. Stores. In this role, she leads the company’s three U.S. operating divisions comprised of nearly 2,000 U.S. stores and the bulk of the company’s nearly 400,000 associates.

Ann-Marie learned her first lessons in retail from her grandmother in Jamaica, a successful retailer in her own right. And after more than 30 years with the company, Ann-Marie brings a deep understanding of The Home Depot’s operations, culture and customers.

During her career at the company, she has served in a variety of positions, including store manager, district manager and regional vice president. She has also served as vice president of operations, vice president of merchandising and special orders, vice president of retail marketing and sales for Home Depot Direct, vice president of vendor services and, most recently, president of the Southern Division of The Home Depot.

Ann-Marie is a graduate of Georgia State University, where she earned a bachelor’s degree in philosophy and a master’s degree in business administration. She is a member of Beta Gamma Sigma, an international business honor society, and the National Scholars Honor Society.

She currently serves on the boards for The Home Depot Foundation, Workday, Georgia State University’s Robinson College of Business, Georgia Aquarium and World Affairs Council of Atlanta. Every year since 2014 Fortune Magazine has listed her among the top 50 most powerful women in business.

John Carr

Regional Director Merchandising Execution, New England Region

John Carr grew up in Massachusetts and attended the University of Massachusetts before joining The Home Depot in 1994. During his 25-year career with the company, he has held many positions of increasing responsibility from Department Supervisor, Assistant Store Manager, Store Manager, District Manager and his current role as Regional Director Merchandising Execution for the New England Region. 

John spends his free time with his wife Rebecca and three children, Maxwell, Taylor and Siena.

Jim Emge

District Manager

The Homer Fund Board Member

Jim Emge is a district manager for The Home Depot, responsible for sales and operations in nine stores in the Baltimore Metro area. He’s held this position for the last 18 years and has been with The Home Depot for over 26 years. Jim is a former board member of Maryland Habitat for Humanity and former VP and board member of the Baltimore Tool Bank.

Jim believes in The Home Depot’s values and drives Homer Fund participation and Team Depot volunteer events. His district consistently sets the standard in both the in Mid-Atlantic Region and Northern Division. He led the 2019 Celebration of Service kickoff event for the Northern Division and is regular volunteer and donator to the Believe in Tomorrow Children’s Foundation.

Jim has a Bachelor of Science from the University of Baltimore. He resides in Jarrettsville, Maryland with his wife Amy and has two adult sons, Justin and Patrick.

Jennifer Hepp

Jennifer Hepp, a member of The Homer Fund Board of Trustees since 2002, is a Senior Manager of Human Resources responsible for the day-to-day HR support of the Interconnected Experience and Customer teams.
 
Jennifer began her career at The Home Depot in 1994 as a store human resources clerical, opening the Darien, Ill., store. During the last 25 years, she has held numerous positions, including store HR manager, associate relations HR manager, SSC HR manager for Southern Division MET and Customer Care, and SSC senior HR manager supporting Labor Operations, Building Services & Energy Management, Asset Protection, Tool Rental, Pro and Technology.
 
Prior to joining The Home Depot, Jennifer worked at Futren Corporation in Atlanta, Ga., as a personnel administrator.
 
Jennifer has a bachelor’s degree in business from Kennesaw State University.

Tim Hourigan

Tim Hourigan oversees all aspects of human resource management for The Home Depot’s more than 400,000 associates. His leadership team strives to create a best-in-class organization of orange-blooded associates to bring our company’s values to life in more than 2,200 retail stores and store support centers.

Most recently, Tim served as president of the company’s Southern Division where he was responsible for the sales and operations of more than 690 stores, leading a team of more than 100,000 associates in 15 U.S. states, Puerto Rico and St. Thomas. Prior to this role, Tim led the human resources function for the company’s U.S. stores and operations as well as overseeing the company’s compensation, benefits and HR systems.

Earlier in his career, Tim held a number of finance, human resources and operational leadership roles, including senior vice president and chief operating officer at Homelife Corp., as well as finance, human resources and international training roles with Ernst & Young, Batus Inc. and Sears Roebuck & Company.

Tim has a bachelor’s degree in accounting from Bellarmine University and is a certified public accountant.

Scott Jacobson

Scott Jacobson is a regional vice president for The Home Depot. He is responsible for overseeing 92 stores and 16,000 associates in Central and Southern California, and Las Vegas, Nev. He is engaged with the everyday business strategies of Operations, Human Resources, Asset Protection, and Merchandising for his region.

Scott joined the company in 1986 as a cashier. He has held positions of increasing responsibility including department supervisor, assistant store manager, store manager, regional merchandise manager, district manager, regional operations manager, director of store operations and senior director of operations process.

Scott has a bachelor’s degree in public administration from San Diego State University.

Sylvester Johnson

Director, Product Availability

Sylvester Johnson is currently Director of Product Availability for The Home Depot. He is responsible for global strategies driving product availability and in-aisle tasking and selling in U.S. Retail Stores.  Sylvester joined The Home Depot in 2011 as a co-store manager in Charlotte, N.C. He served as store manager in multiple stores with increased responsibility in the Charlotte market. In 2014, he was promoted to district manager responsible for store operations in the Greater Columbia, South Carolina market. In 2017, Sylvester was promoted to director of operation for HDE National Branch Support Center in Atlanta, Ga.  He is a Crystal Apron Award recipient. 

Sylvester was previously president and chief executive officer at Titan Commercial Services, Inc. based in Charlotte, N.C. Prior to Titan, he spent over 12 years with Wal-Mart Stores, Inc., in a variety of roles including senior logistics managers, general merchandise transportation manager, regional personnel manager, district manager, and market manager.

He is a decorated combat veteran and former Captain in the U.S. Army serving tours in Europe, Southwest Asia, and various locations in the United States. He is a graduate of the United States Army Airborne School.

Sylvester earned a bachelor’s degree in computer science from Alabama A&M University and Master of Business Administration with a Leadership cognate from Liberty University.
 
Sylvester is the co-founder and board member of the Purpose Foundation of the South and former board member of the Second Harvest Food Bank of Metrolina.

Layne Thome

Director, HR Service Center

The Homer Fund Board Member

Layne Thome is the Director of the HR Service Center. She joined the company in 1992 and is currently responsible for leading the team of 230+ associates that represent the Service Center.

Previously, Layne served at the Regional HR Director for the Mid-South Region where she led the human resource function for 149 stores across Georgia, Alabama, Mississippi, Louisiana and Tennessee. Layne also served as the Regional Associate Relations Manager for the Mid-South Region and Director of Associate Services for the HD enterprise.

Layne is a native of Atlanta. She graduated from Georgia State University and received her MBA from Strayer University. Layne currently resides in Smyrna, Ga. with her husband and two children.

Tim Wilkerson

Vice President, Merchandising Execution

Tim Wilkerson is vice president of the merchandising execution team for The Home Depot. He is responsible for leading a team of more than 23,000 associates to deliver in-store merchandising solutions that drive sales, enable speed and create value for our stores, suppliers and customers.

Tim joined the company in 1996 as an import distribution center assistant manager. He has held roles of increasing responsibility including shift manager, import distribution center manager, divisional director of logistics, senior manager of logistics, director of logistics, senior director of supply chain, district manager, regional vice president of the gulf region and, most recently, vice president of store operations.

Tim has a bachelor’s degree in management from Georgia Southern University.
